Support Orphans
In Islam, helping orphans is considered to be one of the most virtuous and rewarding acts of charity. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself was an orphan, and he placed great emphasis on taking care of those who have lost their parents. The Quran and Hadith provide many examples of the importance of supporting and caring for orphaned children.
‘They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend [in charity]. Say, “Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveller. And whatever you do of good – indeed, Allah is knowing of it.”’ Al Baqarah: 215
In addition to the Quran, there are numerous Hadiths that encourage Muslims to care for orphaned children. One Hadith states: “I and the person who looks after an orphan and provides for him, will be in Paradise like this,” and the Prophet held his two fingers together to illustrate this (Bukhari). This Hadith shows that caring for orphans is so important that it is equivalent to being in Paradise with the Prophet.
Feed Orphan Children
It is necessary to feed orphans in Islam. Allah promised a big reward for those who help needy people and feed them. so being a Muslim, it is our duty to ensure that malnourished children are fed. In the Quran and Sunnah, Allah (SWT) and Prophet Muhammad (saw) repeatedly mention the promise of Jannah, which makes you realize the importance of caring for orphans and children.
وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا
And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive. (89:17)
